"I recommend doing business with Planet Bulb - you will not find a company that provides better customer service. I bought a lamp from these guys, the lamp went out (it turns out it was my TV's fault) - I called them and they:
  1. Sent a replacement over night before receiving the defective equipment.
  2. Contacted the manufacturer and got an RMA number.
  3. Emailed me a pre-paid shipping label along with the RMA.
When I received the second bulb, the same thing happened - at that point I had to call the TV manufacturer and I learned that the TV was causing the bulb to go out....so no fault to Planet Bulb.

Find a company that still does that! Oh, by the way, when I called I didn't even have to wait on hold and I could clearly understand the AMERICAN I was talking to. I also send several emails and they were all answered within a couple of hours." - Eric D.

 

"I have a SONY 60" rear projection HDTV & the projector bulb burned out. I went to the SONY web site & they wanted $299- for the bulb & housing. I shopped around & some sites looked like they were a little less expensive than Planet Bulb, but they were only selling you the bulb, even though the pictures showed the bulb in the housing!

Be very careful you know what is included, as I understand it is very difficult to change the bulb only. The bulb was manufactured by the same company that makes them for SONY. The housing is from a different vendor, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I was a little skeptical since the price was $129, $170 less than SONY wanted.

I ordered the bulb and housing from planet bulb between 12 & 1PM eastern time. I thought they would get the order out the following day, and, as there was a big snowstorm coming in the next night, I was resigned to the fact that I might not see my order for maybe three days. I was thrilled to see my order arrive the day after I ordered it! By the time the snow started falling, my HDTV was back & looked great, no problems at all. I'd never heard of Planet Bulb before, but now I'll never buy a replacement bulb from anyone else. Thanks for the great service, guys, and thanks for saving me more than a few bucks!" - Eric G.
